My Bio
Lauren Adams is a painter who resides in Fairmont, West Virginia. She is a graduate of Fairmont State University and West Virginia University, where she holds a BA in Studio Art and a BFA in Visual Art, respectively. While at Fairmont State University, Lauren studied with acclaimed painter Lynn Boggess.
Adams has shown her work extensively at various venues including EA Gallery in Swainsboro, GA, Cooper Gallery in Lewisburg, WV, James Brooks Gallery in Fairmont, WV and Arts Monongahela in Morgantown, WV. Lauren is a juried artist of Tamarack’s David L. Dickirson Gallery. Recently, she has been included in the Emerging Artists of West Virginia juried exhibition at the West Virginia State Museum, where she was awarded Best of Show and is now part of the museum’s permanent collection. Lauren was recently part of a two person exhibition titled "Brian Ferrell and Lauren Adams: the Aesthetics of Nature" at the Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art at Ligonier, PA. In 2011, Adams will be exhibiting her solo show at the Slingluff Gallery in Philadelphia, PA and at the Redbrick Gallery in Martinsburg, WV.

Currently, my solo exhibition is on display in Philadelphia Pa at the Slingluff Gallery. I'm super excited about it, the reception was April 2nd and it really was a great time.
